I can’t find the VitalSource link in my D2L. 

Contact your instructor for assistance. 

The VitalSource or Courseware link is not working. 

  1. Disable all pop-up blockers. 

  2. If the issue persists, inform your instructor. 

  3. Still not working? Email bookstore@coloradomesa.edu. 

VitalSource or Publisher Login Issues 

  1. Ensure you're using your @mavs.coloradomesa.edu email. 

  2. If login fails, contact VitalSource support or the publisher’s support. 

I can’t open assignments or homework in courseware. 

  1. Disable all pop-up blockers.  

  2. If the issue persists, inform your instructor.  

  3. Still not working? Reach out to publisher support. 

  4.  If unresolved, contact  bookstore@coloradomesa.edu.  

I can’t find my access code. 

  1. Check your @mavs.coloradomesa.edu email for an email sent the Friday before classes start. The subject is “Welcome to Direct Digital”. 

OR 

  1. Click the VitalSource link in D2L and select “Reveal Code”. Then enter the code into the courseware. 

I’m having trouble logging in to MAVzone or accessing D2L.

The Direct Digital/VitalSource link is not in D2L. 

  • If material is an eBook, add the VitalSource link to D2L.  

  • If using courseware (e.g. interactive materials), follow publisher instructions to add the courseware link(s) to D2L. 

The VitalSource link is added in D2L but material isn’t loading. 

  1. Recently added the link? Wait 2 hours for it to sync. During peak times, it may take longer. 

  2. Issue not resolved? Contact bookstore@coloradomesa.edu. The Bookstore may need to escalate the issue to the publisher. 

There are problems with the courseware platform (Pearson, Cengage, McGraw Hill, etc.). 

  1. Contact your publisher representative. 

  2. Don’t have rep info? Contact the publisher hotline or check with a colleague, the bookstore, or CDLI to see if they have a contact. 

Student login doesn’t work for VitalSource or publisher site. 

  1. Confirm students are using their @mavs.coloradomesa.edu email. 

  2. Still not working? Contact publisher support. 

  3. If unresolved, contact bookstore@coloradomesa.edu.  

Student can’t find access code. 

  1. Direct students to click the VitalSource link in D2L > Reveal Code > Enter it in the courseware site 

  2. Instruct students to check email (sent Friday before classes start, subject: Welcome to Direct Digital).
